Privacy Policy

General

Construction Training Institute recognises the importance you place on privacy protection on the Internet. We share the same concerns as you and, working together, we strive to protect your privacy.

Construction Training Institute does not collect personally identifiable information about users of the cti.edu.au website except when individuals specifically provide such information voluntarily. A user's access to and use of the website constitutes information voluntarily given.

Use of personal information

Personally identifiable information of individual users will not be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without the user's prior consent. Construction Training Institute stores your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address when you visit our website. This information is used only to create broad demographic summaries of where our users come from – for example, what percentage of users come from Australia – and our use of IP addresses does not identify individual users.

Construction Training Institute reserves the right to perform statistical analyses and profiling of user behaviour and characteristics to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site.

Information you provide voluntarily

When you contact us through enquiry forms, applications or other interactive features, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, mobile number and any free-text details) so that we can respond to your enquiry, assess your eligibility for our programs, and communicate with you about your training.

If you are enrolling in a nationally recognised qualification, we may also collect information required under the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) and report it to state and federal training authorities as part of our obligations as a registered training organisation (RTO 31449).

Cookies

Construction Training Institute may use cookies to help users move more quickly through the site. Cookies are small text files that a website can use to recognise repeat users and facilitate ongoing access and use. They generally assign a unique number to the user, are meaningless outside the assigned site, and do not pose a threat to your files. If you do not want information collected through cookies, most browsers include a simple procedure that allows you to deny or accept the cookie feature. Some cookies on our website are set by third parties, such as Meta, for advertising and analytics purposes – see “Advertising and conversion tracking” below.

Advertising and conversion tracking

Construction Training Institute uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (the operator of Facebook and Instagram), on the cti.edu.au website. The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies to record when visitors arrive at our website, including those who reach it after interacting with our advertising on Facebook or Instagram. This helps us understand how our advertising is performing and to measure interest in our training programs.

The information collected through the Meta Pixel may be shared with Meta and, where it relates to your visit, may be matched by Meta with other information it holds about you. We do not use this tool to collect information that personally identifies you, and we do not control how Meta subsequently uses any data it receives. Meta's handling of this information is governed by its own privacy and data policies, available at facebook.com/privacy.

If you would prefer not to be tracked in this way, you can adjust your browser's cookie settings (see “Cookies” above), use the ad and tracking preference tools within your Facebook or Instagram account, or use a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

Third-party links and voluntary disclosures

When you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information in any interactive area of the site, that information may be collected and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages. Such activities are beyond our control and we make no warranties about the discoverability of a user's identity by methods beyond our control.
